The building materials and ceramic manufacturing industry today faces crucial challenges related to environmental sustainability and resource optimization. In this context, innovation in the use of alternative and secondary raw materials takes center stage.
This conference day explores various opportunities for the use of unconventional resources, such as sediments from large reservoirs, which represent untapped potential for the development of new sustainable building materials. It also explores the incorporation of secondary raw materials into monoporosa mixes, an approach that can reduce the environmental impact of ceramic production while maintaining high quality standards.
Special attention is paid to the use of recovered glass, whose pyroplastic properties can be exploited to improve the characteristics of ceramic bodies. Finally, the use of filler derived from the processing and recovery of almandite garnet (garnet), a waste material that can find new life in industrial applications, is examined.
These studies represent a significant step toward a future in which the construction and ceramic industries can actively contribute to environmental sustainability through the intelligent and responsible use of resources.
