Metis: Technologies for the acquisition of surfaces with relief and virtual applications for decorative product design and marketing

At the DECORTECH Conference, Metis will present its latest digital scanning technology for the reproduction of large originals with 2D/3D surfaces as for example raw materials. Metis design and manufacture state of the art scanning solutions that are currently in use by leading companies in different industry worldwide, in particular for the décor market. Metis scanners are suitable for creating the necessary input to the printing production workflow including color data and 3D data for engraving/embossing purposes. Metis will also showcase the ability to use the scanners for generating suitable PBR maps (physically based rendering) to be used for virtual rendering and marketing applications of the décor products.
