Asset Tracking For The Digitisation And Optimisation Of A Manufacturing Process

Starting with the localisation and tracking of resources (such as pallets, forklift trucks, materials and semi-finished products or others), a digital representation (or “digital twin”) can be created of a manufacturing process, which thus becomes measurable in real time. Artificial intelligence tools and an analysis of the production process enable to identify delays, deviations and areas whose efficiency could be enhanced, taking a lean manufacturing and continuous improvement approach. In this presentation, we will be showing the necessary steps to introduce asset tracking tools into a manufacturing process and we will describe how these technologies have yielded important results in terms of savings of resources and increased production volumes with some success stories.
